Adopt a Tree

Tree Canopy Replacement Initiative at the Joe B. Parks Riverwalk Public Garden

This downtown public park meanders along the Cochecho River, starting at 400 Central Avenue, Dover, New Hampshire. Working with the city, the garden’s tenders look to address the problem of decaying Ash trees infected by the Emerald Ash Borer (Agrilus planipennis), a green buprestid or jewel beetle that feeds on Ash tree species.

Working with the city’s Adopt a Tree program, we are seeking individuals, families, civic organizations, and businesses to take part in a fundraising effort to install a new tree canopy by planting the species listed below into the garden.

1 — Tina Sargent Crabapple (Bed 2a)
2 — Princeton Elm (Bed 3 & 5a)
ART Installation TBD (Bed 12)
1 — River Birch Betula Nigra (Bed 12)
2 — Red Maple October Glory (Bed 11)
1 — Ginkgo Biloba Autumn Gold (Bed 8a)
