Dover Pride Day Scheduled for May 9, 2015. Come join the fun and spruce up the Joe B Parks Riverwalk Public Gardens

One of  Dover Main Street’s flagship activities is Dover Pride Clean Up Day which is held Saturday morning, May 9th, 2015 from 8 a.m. to Noon.

Meet at 8 a.m. for registration at the Cochecho Mill Courtyard at 421 Central Avenue, Downtown Dover.

Bring yourself, your family if you wish, and if you have household gardening tools to use, bring them- rakes, brooms, gloves, edgers are needed!

If you are a group, organization, family or individual wishing to work on a specific site sign up here.

Clean Up Day is an opportunity for citizens of Dover to give a few hours of time and contribute some sweat equity to making Dover look its best for the coming tourist season.

We start with a hearty pancake breakfast served by the Kiwanis Club in the mill courtyard. From there, hundreds of bright, sunny, energetic volunteers along with help from the Dover Community Services Department rake, prune, sweep, mulch, weed, paint and plant their way through multiple sites in the downtown area.

Their efforts help make the downtown area green and beautiful throughout the spring and summer and provides cost savings to the City of Dover.

As always, community volunteers are the key to the success of the projects, so whether you can spend just an hour or come for the morning, please sign up to volunteer for this event.

Many thanks to our generous Dover Pride Clean Up Day sponsors.
